desiccant

Michael,

As William Kroth wrote to us in the February '97 issue of METEORITE!, the
offending ingredient is cobalt chloride, which is the compound that turns
the desiccant from blue to pink! Most indicating desiccants contain a few
percent of cobalt chloride and this should be avoided at all costs. Kroth
recommends the regular white silica gel or calcium sulfate and then buy a
small digital humidity guage.
