129 I/129 Xe

Further to the discussion:

129 I/129 Xe does not date the absolute ages of meteorites, but only dates
the first few tens of millions of years of solar system history. It dates
meteorites or parts of meteorites (e.g., chondrules) in a relative sense,
with the chondrite Bjurbole often being the standard. That is, meteorite x
formed 10 million years after Bjurbole, or chondrule y formed 3 million
years before Bjurbole. Absolute ages of meteorites are determined by other
isotopic systems, i.e., those with long half-lives such as Rb-Sr, Nd-Sm.
