Meteors & Meteorites CDROM volume 1

Announcement...

Meteors and Meteorites CDROM Volume 1
...an historic archive of articles, books and catalogues.

The CD contains the equivalent of over 2,500 pages of information on the
subject. Original scanned pages, like photocopies, are viewable on any
computer that has a Web browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer.

The content is split about half & half between meteors and meteorites, being
almost all pre 1920's, with some articles and letters going back to 1738.

Highlights on the meteorite side of things include the complete text,
plus illustrations from four books....

* A Chapter in the History of Meteorites(1887) by W. Flight

* The Meteoritic Hypothesis(1890) by Norman Lockyer

* Die Meteoriten in Sammlungen und ihre Literatur(1897) by Dr E. A. Wufling

* The Ward-Coonley collection of Meteorites(1904 edition) by H. A. Ward.

Plus lots of articles describing individual falls/finds.

My personal favourites are a set of old photographs of the Bacubirito and
Willamette meteorites, one showing two kids sitting inside the Willamette!
