Millarville Meteorite (IVA)

Millarville Meteorite (Sky & Telescope, New Notes, January 1978, p. 19):

The Canadian total of meteorite falls from which fragments have been
recovered is now 44, the leading province being Alberta with 12. The
latest is a 15.7-kilogram (35-pound) iron, about 18 centimeters (7
inches) across, with classic "thumbprints." It was found by a farmer on
his land in the foothills southwest of Calgary. He took it to the
University of Calgary for identification. The coordinates of the find
are west longitude 114° 19', north latitude 50° 48'.
According to Cassiopeia, the bulletin of the Canadian Astronomical
Society, the Millarville meteorite is the first iron meteorite to be
found in Canada in 15 years.

Best wishes,
