I finally found a reference:

There was a very bright fireball over the Pacific Ocean on Feb 1 1994.  It
might have weighed upwards of 9 million kilograms before disintegrating
according to the study (by McCord et al) cited.  The only thing I've heard
about the recent Greenland meteoroid is that it was *not* from beyond the
solar system as was speculated early-on.
