Re: Tektite / Impactite

It is indeed interesting that some consider mere "opinion" those ideas that
challenge their sacred beliefs even when evidence is presented. (A little
like trying to convince the Vatican that the Shroud of Turin is from the
Middle Ages and does not date to the death of Christ. Ah, faith, it is a
curious matter!)

(Parentheses MINE - as I would take it further, Jim: it is a
disservice
to ALL members of the list - period).
It is THE reason I use the delete button in ALMOST every thread - it
seems that within one, two, or, at the most, three posts, it
"degenerates" into sophmoric debate (the last time I used this term
SEVERAL people on the list actually thought I was criticising debate in
general, being elitist, etc, etc, - not so, as it is the SOPHMORIC
debate that drives me batty - presenting opinion as though it were fact
- then ARGUING upon that "basis" as though one were standing on the
solid ground of established and accepted "fact.")
In any event, WELL STATED, Jim!
	Best wishes, Michael
