The first edition of the geological map of the Ries was sold out since the end of the eighties. Since a few days the second improved edition is available from the Bayrischen Geologisches Landesamt. There are two versions of the map: a traditional printed map and an interactive CD-ROM map. The CD-ROM includes the map as an Adobe PDF-Project and an ESRI GIS (ArcView) Project. Additional the explanations in PDF (identical to Geologica Bavarica 104) and more than 40 descriptions of quarries are added. The price for both is more than modest.
