Re: THOSE BIDS ARE FROM THE ARGENTINIAN GOVERNAMENT



If those bids are from the Argentinian (or any other latin 
american)government I guess that the seller  will have to wait until the 
check clears before shipping the stuff. After all latin american countries 
are not known for paying off debts so you have to be careful with  bidders 
in a poor financial situation. The government probably figures that they can 
pay with a bond that never has to be paid back. So they are making a 
legitimate bid and not in violation of eBay rules. Just today another latin 
american country (Its ecuador this week) defaulted on their foreign debt.
I dont think that it is the Argentinian government making the bid though. 
After all, I thought that the Argentinian government was using a free e-mail 
account from yahoo. (The government sent yahoo a bond to pay for the account 
anyway - they are just so used to paying for stuff that way)
