Quadrantids
The Quadrantid meteor shower will be appearing in 1999/2000 from the 28 of
December to the 7 of January and will peak around January 3-4, 2000. Its
radiant is at R.A. 15hr 4 mi (229 degrees) and declination +49 degrees.
The closest bright star is Gamma Bootes and the typical hourly rate varies
greatly but some estimate it at around 45.

Lyrids

The Lyrid meteor shower will be appearing in 2000 from the 16 to the 25 of
April and will peak around April 21-22, 2000. Its radiant is at R.A. 18hr 6
mi (270.1 degrees) and declination +33 degrees.

The closest bright star is Nu Hercules and the typical hourly rate is 10, but
it sometimes is over hunrdred.

Eta-Aquarids

The Eta Aquarid meteor shower will be appearing in 2000 from April 21 to May
12 and will peak around May 5, 2000. Its radiant is at R.A. 22hr 7 mi (337
degrees) and declination +1 degrees.

The closest bright star is Alpha Aquarius and iits maximum hourly rate is 20
in the Northern hemisphere and 50 in the Southern hemisphere.

Southern Delta-Aquarids

The Southern Delta Aquarid meteor shower will be appearing in 2000 from July
14 to August 18 and will peak around July 29, 2000. Its radiant is at R.A.
22hr 9 mi (339 degrees) and declination -17 degrees.

The closest bright star is naturally enough Delta Aquarius and its maximum
hourly rate is 15 to 20.

Northern Delta-Aquarids

The Northern Delta Aquarid meteor shower will be appearing in 2000 from July
16 to September 10 and will peak around August 13, 2000.

The closest bright star is naturally enough Delta and the maximum hourly rate
is 10.

Perseids

The Peresid meteor shower will be appearing in 2000 from July 23 to September
22 and will peak around August 12, 2000 02:40UTC.

A typical hourly rate for the Perseids is 80 although it can go as high as
200. Its radiant is at R.A. 2hr 17 mi (47 degrees) and declination +57
degrees.

The closest bright star is Delta
