I just saw a program for the Royal Society London Meeting coming up
on February 12th.

The topic of the meeting will be "The Geological Record of Impacts On
The Earth".

Ralph Lorenz of the Lunar and Planetary Lab will give a 15 minute pre-
sentation entitled "Microtektites: exoatmospheric distribution of
impact"

I don't remember who brought up the thread of exoatmospheric ejection
of material from an impact event on the list recently but thought they
would
find this interesting.
