As a side note to all the discussion about putting meteorites in the rock
tumbler, has anyone tried to "cab-up" a meteorite, like you would an opal
or similar fragile stone? The vast majority of meteorites would be
unsuitable for it, but think of using one of the more chondrule-studded
NWAs for a ring or pendant (I keep looking at NWA094 in the display case
and wondering how well it would wear in jewelry.) And a nice piece of
pallasite might turn out spectacularly, if properly treated.
