Sonic boom heard in northern Skagit County
KBRC Radio, Mount Vernon, Washington
September 28, 2001

Officials suspect a sonic boom may have been the source of an
explosion that was reported by residents in the Alger area of
northern Skagit County yesterday afternoon. Sheriff's officials say
they received multiple reports of the explosion about 5:15 p.m. -
apparently strong enough in some cases to knock items off shelves.
However, patrols of the area found no damage or injuries.
