[meteorite-list] numbering of meteorites

Hullo list,
I have just acquired a beautiful Sikhote-Alin from Mr. Wesel and it has upon
it's regmaglypted hide two small labels, typewritten on some sort of cloth.
The digits are, in my case '0086'. The labels are about 1.5cm by 0.5cm and
look like linen.
As I said, the digits are typewritten.

Any ideas as to their origin?

if anyone is THAT interested I can email them a picture of the labels....
