Ugliest meteorite?

Check out the recently recognized 83 kilo Bruceville, CA (L6) . I have =
a picture of it on my website. Interesting, nevertheless.

  Hello Geoff et al.

Ugliest meteorite? My vote is Gretna (polished or unpolished).
  =20
BTW, if anyone emailed me between 6/29/01 and mid-August
and I did not respond, I apologize. I had been experimenting=20
with a cable modem and only about 10% of email messages
to me were actually received. The experiment has now=20
concluded and the DSL modem I now have appears to be
  a success.
  =20
My OPINION regarding the NWA/DAG/Dhofar/lies/missing strewn data:
  =20
Are all finders completely honest? Probably not.
Is there anything I can do about it? No
  So, I move on.
  =20
Best wishes from Savannah (where the temp and humidity are
in the 90s and the air conditioning in my truck doesn't work).

    Dear Bernd, Mark, and List:

    Hi Bernd!=20

Uh-oh Mark, you are going to receive a lot of hate mail for that =
comment : )=20

Gold Basin, you see, has a special place in the hearts of many List =
members. As is now well documented, the strewn field was discovered way =
back in the Roaring 1990s by List members Jim Kriegh and Twink Monrad, =
and a vast number of us hunted there in subsequent years. Why, there are =
even some venerable List members who's first-ever meteorite find took =
place at Gold Basin -- isn't that right Mr. Blood?

So, after having made three hunting trips there myself, and written =
two articles about GB for "Meteorite" magazine, I feel it is my =
obligation to change your mean old opinion.

So . . . will the accused please refer to Exhibits 1 and 2 below:

    http://www.notkin.net/basin1.htm [Exhibit 1: Detail of fab =
multi-colored chondrules in a 152.2 gram polished half stone found by =
Twink in 1998]

    http://www.notkin.net/basin2.htm [Exhibit 2: Unusual shape, metal =
flecks, fusion crust, desert patina, all visible on a 67.8 gram complete =
individual which I found in 1999]

Now, can you truthfully state -- and I'd like to remind you that you =
ARE under oath -- that GB is uglier than . . . say . . . Tulia? Or North =
Branch? (sorry Steve, just kidding)

Now take back what you said about GB, or I will be forced to post =
more pictures : )
