I was saddened to hear today that a friend of mine, Dr.
David Roddy passed away.

He was in poor health, but his sudden death was a shock.

Dr. Roddy was instrumental in the geological aspects of
the Apollo Moon Missions and was a close associate of
the late Dr. Shoemaker.

Dr. Roddy's work on Meteor Crater is well respected and
his passing is a loss to the scientific community at
large.
