Hello Robert and List,

Here are the facts:

Cold Bokkeveld, CM2, shock stage S1
Cape Province, S. Africa
33° 08' S / 019° 23' E
Fell 1838, Oct. 13, 09:00 hrs

Many stones, the largest of about 4.5lb, fell,
after appearance of a fireball and detonations.

Here is some additional info:

- contains light nitrogen associated with SiC
- has spinel-bearing refractory inclusions
- contains calcium sulfate
- contains CAIs
- contains fine-grained rims that surround
  chondrules and other coarse-grained
  components such as CAIs

I am sending you a Microsoft Encarta map in a private mail
which shows the location where Cold Bokkeveld fell.

Best wishes,

Bernd
