I was thinking more towards the fact that here we have an important meteo=
rite and a good portion is being donated for science and a good portion w=
as made available to collectors without wads of money to spend and during=
a down time in our economy at that. Here in the Airplane Capitol of the=
World, Wichita, Kansas...3,500 airplane jobs have been laid off. =20

Someone asked if Dean made any money and you can be sure he did. Just no=
t near the money others made. And guess where he is right now, if you ar=
e wondering why he has been silent through all are NWA talk?

In the CR2 strewfield. Lets hope he is able to find more and be able to =
bring it ont he market at a fair price. =20

It will be interesting to see what the price of this meteorite stables at=
. You will note that most meteorite all come on the market originally at=
once sorce. This meteorite was sold to several dealers....probley at di=
fferent prices as well. =20

I would also like to see this meteorite, the DAG CO3, the SAH L6's, and o=
thers like it get one name. This is something I do not think we will eve=
r see but would seem o make sence to me. =20

Dear List

I am one of about 4 dealers who bought up CR2s in Morroco. We all sha=
red our good fortune with friends, collectors and Ebay buyers. This howeve=
r was a very temporary opportunity which will never be seen again. Dean B=
essy allowed collectors for a once in a lifetime chance at letting them h=
ave CR2s at $23 a gram. People who would never have dreamed one year ago =
at such an opportunity, now proudly display their CR2s and are expanding =
their collections. He will sell out at Tucson leaving only three of us wit=
h the lion's share of this find. The strewn field is small and totally wo=
rked over. Those of us left will never after Tucson let this rare material=
sell for under $100 a gram.I probably control half of the fall and will =
personally keep or donate it to the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto , Can=
ada. [ about4,000+ grams]. Thus supply and demand kick in and those that =
have it are in no hurry to sell it at low prices after Feb. 2002. For tho=
se that bought CR2s from Dean, Congratulations on the great deal. For tho=
se who didn't it's highly unlikely you will ever be offered this gift aga=
in, which was more of a temporary parntnership to help offset Deans inves=
tment.Dean has done well by buying from the source and adding a bit of a =
mark up. He is providing material today that we could only have dreamed o=
f a year ago at affordable prices. He has helped to expand the base of ou=
r collecting community and is an asset to us.Those who bought in the past=
at high prices should not worry. The material is limited and will contin=
ue to sell to high prices in the future. Best regards David Gregory =20
