Monomict in simple terms, means that the breccia is comprise dof one =
matrix, ie the same meteorite crushed up. Shock stage is the level of =
shock that caused the breakup for the breccia, this one is highly =
shocked as can be seen by the massive fragmentation. Weathering is used =
on chondrites, and is the level of terrestrial (Earth) alteration of the =
meteorite. Bensour is 0, which is as fresh as you can get, as in never =
seen a drop of water, as it is a witnessed fall and picked up =
immediately.=20

  Hi list,

  While reading through various descriptions of meteorites there is =
always a few things that pop up that are really a foriegn language to =
me. For instance, for Bensour here are the things I do not quite =
understand.

  Monomict (seen it before but never really understood what it ment)

  shock stage

  weathering

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also how does one pronounce =
enstatite.
