Hello Everyone,

I just got a chance to look at Jim Tobin's article on oriented irons at =
Meteorite Times (www.meteoritetimes.com). For those new to meteorites =
in general and oriented meteorites in particular, I would highly =
recommend reading this article and examining the pictures Jim has =
posted. I often see meteories described as "oriented" when in fact (to =
me) they really do not appear to have the characteristics we =
traditionally ascribe to an oriented meteorite. Jim's article should =
leave no doubt as to what an oriented iron looks like. I like Jim's =
analogy of rain running off a car windshield.
