    Those of you who have read Arthur C. Clarke's novel FOUNTAINS OF PARADISE
will recall that this is the same giant rock that was his inspiration for the
location of the anchor point for the cable for the first "Space Elevator."

    IF it really was hit by a meteorite, Arthur would have loved it!
