  Mark mentioned finding glass globules attached to the crust of his =
fragment. After hearing this we examined over two dozen specimens and =
found the same thing on about half of them. I did not observe dumbbell =
or patty shapes on any of them. All the best,

  I suspect the distinctive dumbell and patty shapes do not occur until =
a molten or semi-molten droplet departs the host mass and becomes =
subject to free-stream aerodynamic forces.
