[meteorite-list] Question about Schlierenbands in Ataxites

Hello list,

I can't find a proper definition of the schlieren bands, nor what causes
them to be in ataxites.
Not in my books, nor in the web.

All what I found, were several semantic explanation or paraphrases in
english of the german word "Schlieren". Not even helpful...
("Schlieren" are those stripes and bands, which you detect after you
finished to clean the windows, so that you have to start the work again.)

Here's an example of schlieren bands in Chinga (sorry for the semi-ad, but I
couldn't find a single picture in the web - obviously nobody is etching
ataxites?):
