The auction has now closed, and it was won (for $1.25 !) by a gentleman I
recognize, as he has bought many meteorites from me, and many dealers I know, in
the past. I'd be willing to bet a margarita in Tucson '04 that he THOUGHT he
was bidding on a meteorite. Now, this buyer's less-than-perceptive
interpretation of the wording is just as unfortunate as the seller's less-than-ideal
writing of it, but point is, the erroneous assumption was made. With any luck,
both buyer and seller will be a little smarter when this thing is hashed out.
I'm sure Rhett will relay the seller's response asap.
