There is one problem.
In 1931 Tatahouine was barely a village. It is now a town, a busy dusty
market town, the last one before the desert. And by doing what Steve recommends you
will find yourself walking thru a lot of people courtyards, houses, and
looking at a lot of asphalt streets.
Yes, I have been in Tatahouine but I did not look for any little green rocks.

There is one more important thing in Tatahouine. On the south side of the
town, there is a big modern motel with running water, a good restaurant, and most
important: a large clean swimming pool. :-)
