I found the following notes about the wildfire.

Arizona Wildfire May Get Easier to Fight

"Late Sunday it appeared that the observatory
had been saved by crews using hand-held torches
to burn grass and brush before the wildfire
marched close"

(This is in reference to University of Arizona's

According to National public Radio, this
afternoon, the observatory had been saved.
