<DIV></DIV>&gt;Hi All,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Where's the fusion crust on the meteorite pictured at the
<DIV></DIV>&gt;following link?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;http://www.nbc5.com/news/2067595/detail.html
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Could the image be THAT overexposed that it looks grey
<DIV></DIV>&gt;and orange on the outside? Given the past track record
<DIV></DIV>&gt;of such stories, I wouldn't quite be at the point of booking
<DIV></DIV>&gt;a flight to Chicago based on this image. I admit that
<DIV></DIV>&gt;the bolide story sounds better than usual, but I temper
<DIV></DIV>&gt;that enthusiasm with the knowledge that it occurred around
<DIV></DIV>&gt;midnight, which is the worst time for a meteoroid in terms
<DIV></DIV>&gt;of surviving atmospheric passage. --Rob
