Dear List members;
Due to popular response, here is an off topic link for your Saturday's
amazement!
http://www.wsgsweb.wyo.edu/metals/gemstones.edu for the Wyoming State
Geologic Survey web site. Two thirds down the page is the interesting
diamond information and jade information (I am in or took a number of
the pictures).

Wyoming has three known craters, one is sub surface north of Casper in
the Amoco oil field, one is in the Medicine bow mountains and is in
Cambrian or Pre Cambrian granite, and the third is also on the east side
of the state.

Our dinosaurs from Como bluff are scattered in museums from around the
world, and chances are that the first fossil fish you ever saw came from
near Fossil Butte National Monument at the private digs near Kemmerer, WY.

There is K/T boundary clay at at least one place in the state but I was
unable to isolate it on my first and only attempt.

Happy Saturday,
Dave Freeman
