Dirk, Kudos to you my friend! The green glass issue is, indeed, a biologic one. After getting enough specimens together to test one, I found that it was a cocoon wall laid into a much deeper than thought impact hole. I couldn't make out what was at the end of the impact path for all the junk in there. In deference to whatever lifeform it might be I am replacing the pieces to thier exact in situ locations and will be watching for them in the future. Green glass really doesn't fit the profile of what I think happened here anyway. I think these were relatively low velocity impacts. I'm learning every day out here. Thanks for the help. Mark
