Dear Darcy,
    The melting point of Iron is 2,800.4 F; Nickel 2651.00 F only 149.4 =
degrees difference because the Fe is so dominant a percentage I think =
the nickel will have to go along for the ride incapsulating the Ni until =
the iron liquifies. Go to Nortons Encyclpedia of meteorites Page 39 =
Ablation discussion.

temperature

  List,=20

I am wondering if anyone knows where I might find out the melting =
and/or volitization temperature (in farenheit) for an iron meteorite =
(90% iron, 7-8% nickel, the rest in trace elements)?=20

  Thanks!

  Darcy Minter
