Unfortunately, for me, after what I went through,
there is much that I just don't remember, or has
slipped my mind. It is like I have an enormous puzzle
in my head, but there are significant pieces missing.

When things are there in my mind, they can seem to be
very clear... Then there are those voids.

Having survived brainstem encephalitis, I have
discovered that it is a very strange thing when it
comes to memory.

But anyway, I appreciate the story... Now I kind of
remember this. Not sure if from the same source that
you quoted or from another.

Perhaps the man himself, though I cannot remember
discussing it with him.

It was very hard for him to have been there at that
time. But even though he had a very extensive
collection, there was not too much interest in
meteorites at that time...

He was only paying about a dollar a pound.

(Hard to imagine that at todays prices)
