Unfortunately nutcase bidders is something you have to
put up with when you sell on ebay. There is nothing
that you can do to satisfy some people. In every type
of business there are problems that you cant control
and unfortunately feedback is one of the ones on ebay.
I have 17 negative feedbacks myself (So get used to
them as you continue selling on ebay) but considering
my 7700 feedback and 21,000 overall feedbacks its not
such a big deal. Most people who leave negative
feedbacks have a feedback rating less than 10 who
abandon id's and more than half the time cant be
contacted. Out of my 17 I think maybe 3 were really
legitimate people who really didnt like our
transaction (Which I suspect is a better customer
satisfaction ratio than companies like Walmart or your
local gas station). Almost everybody who has sold for
a while has at least some negatives. You would be hard
pressed to find somebody with a feedback greater than
2500 with no negatives. So just get used to them and
not worry to much.
On a different matter I note though that you have a
private feedback which if somebody was looking at the
two negative feedbacks deciding who was at fault I
suspect that you would look bad because of that. Since
you only have one negative feedback in over a hundred
total I dont see why you would make your feedback
negative as many buyers immeadiately get suspicious of
a private feedback (And if you go through ebays
marketing they tell new members that is one of the
things to look for when deciding when to bid on
somebodys auctions). A private feedback is an
immeadiate warning flag.
Your rating is still above 99% which should be enough
to show that you are a legitimate seller when based on
feedback.
Its only my opinion of course (but as somebody with
21,000 feedbacks I figure my opinion has some value to
some people) but my opinion is that you are doing more
damage to your sales by making your feedback private
rather than showing everybody a single negative
feedback .
Just my 2 cents
Sincerely
DEAN BESSEY
(PS: Since I wrote this how about I use this email as
a crass ad for my own ebay auctions - See AMUNRE on
ebay for lots of meteorites really cheap and all sorts
of things)
