In fact there are some hints, that the irons from Morasko were transported
and misplaced during the last glacial period.
Perhaps Mr.Bartoschewitz can enlighten us more about this issue?

The glaciers in the Alpes are not so mighty than the ice shield of
Antarctica and there aren't such mechanisms, which transport and accumulate
the meteorites over the time, as it's happening in the blue ice fields,
but why not a try, the glaciers are shrinking and melting dramatically
during the last few decades,
perhaps in summer I'll take a look on the foot of some, to see, what they
give free now.
Another ice mummy like the Oetzi would be a nice collateral find.

Buckleboo!
Martin

What about glaciers? Couldn't some of them have small scale "stranding
fields" somewhat like
Antarctica?
