Hi Jim,

No one can really say what you saw or didn't see but you. However there
are certain physical traits to a meteorite fall that are well documented
accepted, and proven. Most of the people here can question a witness to
a fireball or meteor and ascertain within a certain amount of time if
the observer saw something fall or not. If they were near a fall or not.

You mentioned the daylight fireball that was photographed in the Tetons.
It simply passed through our atmosphere and back out into space. It
wasn't close to the ground but high in the atmosphere. It would have
made a nice size hole had it hit.

Remember the one in the Tetons? It was level with the ground!
