That is a typical shrapnel, the grooves are just where the metal shredded,
very common. Not flow lines.

Subject: [meteorite-list] New Sikhote Alin question

Well, I bought a few more pieces of Sikhote Alin "shrapnel" from the same
dealer that sold me the
small oriented individual as cheap shrapnel. The two other small pieces
were also individuals,
though not oriented. The big piece, though, at 41.6 grams, is more unusual
to me (not having
handled much Sikhote Alin. I don't think it is shrapnel because all edges
are to some degree
rounded off, but while it doesn't have an oriented shape, it is covered with
deep grooves. Could
these be some sort of fracturing feature, or are they very deep flow lines?
