[meteorite-list] WHY, WHY, WHY does this posting bother everyone so much???

Steve - if the majority of people are responding to your posts by way of
complaining about the frequency of them - then quite OBVIOUSLY people are
NOT forgeting about what you have to offer. How could they forget when
sometimes you post about the same material so frequently to the list that a
person is likely to have several emails from you in their inbox each time
they check their email - each email about the same subject?

my impression of you has always been that of a descent (although quirky -
then again who isnt?) guy who loves meteorites and wants to share his
enthusiasm with others. I'm impressed by the fact that you are willing to
give away specimins for free to anyone interested. I dont mean to get down
on you - please take this as CONSTRUCTIVE criticism - tone things down a
notch or two. If you have something for sale - fine - post to the list. you
dont need to update everyone hourly, daily or even weekly about how your
sale is going. people WILL see your offers and if they are interested people
WILL let you know.

Why do you think people give you such a hard time about campo sales? it's
not because the material isnt nice - it's because you probably made hundreds
of postings to the list about your efforts to sell the material (or at least
it seems that way). for the sake of pete man! you arent selling martian
orthopyroxenite for 3$/gram - it's just campo sales - that kind of posting
to the list just wasnt needed - thats why people have become fedup with the
volume of posting you do in terms of your sales efforts.
