Good Afternoon....

Just looking for anyone at all like to make an offer on this awesome Peekskill fragment. Also, I have available an ultra-thin .202g fusion crusted part-slice of the highly coveted NWA 482 lunar. First reasonable offer takes um'.

Hopefully these sales ads will come to an end soon. Sorry to those not interested.

Ryan

Subject: [meteorite-list] SALE: Happy Birthday Peekskill

Good Evening List,

If anyone is interested, I have a choice 2.04g Peekskill fragment available. One side has the thickest black fusion crust I have ever seen, and another natural side has what appears to be some secondary crust.

Originally purchased for $408, and looking to get about the same for it. Although I might be able to drop the price just a bit if someone is really interested in purchasing it... just looking to get back close to what I paid for it a couple of years ago. As always, Paypal accepted and please email for a photo.

Kind Regards,

Ryan

Dear List members,

October 9 is the thirteenth anniversary of the famous fall of the
Peekskill meteorite. The 12.3 kg stone meteorite caved in the back of
Michelle Knapp's Chevy Malibu, a vehicle which is today known as "The
Peekskill Meteorite Car."

The car has traveled around the world to Germany, Japan, France, and
Switzerland, as well as the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, and was a
featured exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History in New York
City. The Peekskill Meteorite Car has been preserved by R.A.
Langheinrich Meteorites, exactly as it was at the moment of the fall,
and resides at our facility in upstate New York.

Photos of the Peekskill Meteorite Car and its journeys around the world
can be found in a special section on our website:
