Dear Stan and List:

I appreciate your suggestion, Stan, and also your kind offer to donate
material. We have already received a few very fine donations, with more
to come tomorrow. I think you will all be quite surprised when you see
the list of items. Yes, you'll want to buy LOTS of raffle tickets : )

One of the benefits of doing it this way is that we can make the raffle
happen very quickly. However, you could be right about doing both. If
someone who is Ebay savvy would like to volunteer to help me, I would
be happy to put some/a few of the items on Ebay -- maybe for a quick
three-day auction? -- provided that meets with the approval of the
people who donated them. I'm going to have my hands full with
organizing the raffle, so I'll need help if we're going to go that way.
We can link to the Ebay auctions from my raffle web page, so everyone
can see all the items. If anyone wants to volunteer to assist with
that, please let me know.

Thanks to the generosity of several List members, we will almost
certainly have several lots, i.e. First Prize, Second Prize, and some
runners-up as well, so we could probably spare some items for Ebay.

I will get the list of our raffle items and as many photos as possible
up tomorrow.

Keep those donations and ticket purchases coming in.

Thanks for your support.
