Here's a slightly different article on the issue. Has anyone heard yet if these specific meteorites
have been reported as missing from any museum?

An unusual attempt of smuggle was found out at Polish-Ukrainian boarder crossing in Dorohusk. The
truck driver claimed he had a load of quartz yet the custom official decided to seek advice of
specialists from Geological Museum in Warsaw. As it turned out the truck was loaded with over half a
tone of metallic meteorites. The specialist suggest that they come from Siberia and they fell from
the sky in 1947. They were most probably stolen from some museum because they all bear special
catalogue marks. The other eight tones of stones constituted a very interesting collection. It is
difficult to evaluate it but specialist suggest that total value may well exceed one million US
dollars.
