Hi Michael, list,

Meteorite hammers: what a passionate topic! I understand your excitement so
well...

Just to recall that in June 2005, in Ensisheim, we have featured, as
general thematics, "meteorite hammers" as well.

There was an exhibit showing data, pictures.... along with meteorite
samples (my collection) of the following falls (disordered list):
I indicate damage only for those not listed on your site (underlined):

Braunau (buildings)
Peekskill
Pantar (buildings)
New Orleans
Pillistfer
Nakhla
Ausson (building)
Valera
Macau (cattle killed, homes damaged)
Eichst?dt (don't remember right now...help ?)
Wold Cottage (a farmer was struck by mud and earth as the falling meteorite
was being burried into ground)
New Concord
Kiel (roof)
Strathmore (roof)
Juancheng
Thuathe (roof and furniture)
Mbale
Murchison
Holbrook
Monahans 1998 (hole on a basket ball field next to boys playing)
Chiang Khan
Claxton
Tunguska (only cut wood shown - 4 men reported in local newspapers to have
been killed ...)
Murray (several buildings)
Talampaya ("almost" killed a climber...therefore not really a killer)
Park Forest
Kunashak
Canon City - here I showed my 5.27 g crusted piece with museum (collection
?) N? "5190" painted on specimen
Bovedy
Haver? (farm - see Pekka's post)
Yurtuk
Barwell
Hamlet

3 other metorites were pictured and documented but no true examples were
shown (I have not them in collection). These were

Benld (car, garage)
Worden (car)
Auckland (roof, furniture...)

I learned from your site that Plainview, Portales Valley, Johnstown,
Allende (!) and Nuevo Mercurio were also "hammers" of which I have samples
that could have beed added to the exhibit.

I have no representative of Richarrdton, Sylacauga and Burnwell in
collection....

I have more details on some of the above, if needed. We can stay in touch
off list unless it is felt that such info is of general interest.

I hope this post can reach the list. I was deconnected (accidentally) for
months. I recently subscribed again and this is the first contact
trial....cross the fingers!

My best wishes to all

Zelimir
