I say to the list, who needs college?
In the last couple of months, I have watched as learned men and women
have posted on such diversified subjects as geology, physics, chemistry,
and a host of other subjects.
While I agree that there is some bickering back and forth amongst the list,
there has been more data in some areas than I can absorb. Actually not very much
has been in my area of expertise,
The comments on the static electricity keeping the sand to within a meter or so
of the ground surface shook me up. I've known for a long time that aircraft have
small "tassels" on the trailing edges of their wings and fuel trucks have the grounding
strap that "bleed off the static charge" and I've measured the static charge my 20 meter
beam picks up when we have a dust storm. So why did someone else beat me to
a very informative article? That could have been my one claim to glory----Oh well.
I'm still finding that there is much to learn and time is short. Keep the articles and
posts
coming and I'll do my best to hang on.
If I was younger, then I could go back to college and learn what a "transistor" is and
play kech-up with all you college boys.
Pete
