Jan Hattenbach visited the remainders of the crater a month ago,
here his report and some pictures.

He writes, that the crater walls sank down, are much lower now and the
bottom of the crater is almost totally silted up.
The water inside is only a couple of inches deep.

So the initial objective not to look for meteoritic material, but to
preserve the crater instead, failed.

All tourist/scientific projects will have a commemorative character.
