[meteorite-list] Gypsy Punk Music meets Meteorites!

Hi List!

Last night, up and coming Gypsy Punk band, Gogol Bordello played in
Tampa and my stepdaughter and soninlaw went. I was the designated
driver to drop them off and pick them up. My stepdaughter asked if
she could have a meteorite to give to the band - who they have met
with before and had plans to meet after this show. The show went
great, and after the show they hung out with Eugene Hutz, Sergey and
Yuri. Rebekah (my stepdaughter) presented Eugene with a nice (no
reject) UNWA meteorite that I had placed in a Riker box with one of
Roman's metal labels. Eugene was very interested in meteorites and
asked several questions about the specimen. He was very pleased to
have it and promised to "have it authenticated". LOL

I have a grainy photo I can post later of Eugene admiring the meteorite.

Most of us dinosaurs on the List have no idea who Gogol Bordello is -
they are band the kids are listening to now. But, after listening to
the CD on the way back from the show, I found it quite catchy and may
have to listen further.

Well, a band of young Gypsy punks has now been exposed to
meteorites....I wonder if Eugene will start collecting? LOL
