   The large hole on the edge of this slice is not a vesicle. It was a depression in the exterior of the stone that was sliced through. Such things are not uncommon on iron slices.

   As far as the largest vesicle question, I found a hershey's kiss shaped hole in a gao melt that was 1 cm wide by 1 cm tall. The 3 slices that split the hole reside in the ASU collection.
