Hi List,

I'm curious about something.... we hear frequently from people who
hunt (and re-hunt) the Franconia, Gold Basin, and other western
US strewnfields. But we never hear anything about people hunting
the old African strewnfields like Tatahouine. Since Tata is one of
those singularly-exceptional meteorites, there seems to be some
incentive for those with the means and churchbells to re-hunt it.
If nobody is hunting Tata, is it because Tunisia is not safe enough?
Compared to Algeria which sits right next door, Tunisia is
considered a relatively-moderate Sunni Arab state. I know it's
probably considered risky or remote compared to Morocco, so maybe
this is why nobody is looking.

Best regards,

MikeG
