Dear friends, As my eyes leak at the passing of a friend and colleague it
is noted that all the words of condolence are a collection of words and deep
thoughts that we all felt about Richard. Now it is time to celebrate how
incredibility fortunate we are to have Richard Norton in our lives - yes he
is gone from our immediate grasp , But look at the legacy he has left behind
- words in the significant books of our time about meteorites that will be
our reference manuals to this incredible science of meteoritics'. Dorothy
and Richard were an unbeatable team that will live forever in our collective
minds. I celebrate this great man that we all shared together.

To say Richard was an inspiration is a significant understatement.
I wholeheartedly agree the knowledge he shared with the meteorite
community is unparalleled. For me, however, it was his sense of humor I
found most inspirational. (I also always got a tickle over his elfish visual
similarity to Hugh Heffner)
His candle was bright and cast a beautiful light.
My deepest condolences go to Dorothy and my sadness, deep respect
And gratitude are shared with all my meteoritic brothers and sisters.
        Respectfully, Michael
