Hi all,
        I am interested in hearing from someone (in that area, perhaps)
That would physically construct a display for us for the WI school and
Take it to them.
        I will be happy to contact the principle and arrange display space
Ahead of time. I don't think a bunch of specimens in a segregated box
is what will "Turn On" a bunch of kids. I would think at least a 12" deep,
30" wide & 30" high display would really Zap them - maybe with a photo
of Az Meteor Crater or the like and the WI whole stone we purchased and
The WI part slice which was donated by Sonny in the center would be very
Enticing to kids. We also have a variety of other meteorites, but I would
Like to coordinate with the person willing to do the display to determine
How many of them to use and how to design the display.
        The idea is to present the school with a display that will express
gratitude to the community, attract the kid"s attention and increase their
Appreciation of the event in their lifetime and educate them about
Meteorites in general. I really do think that can be done in a relatively
Limited space - but certainly not a plastic box with several segregated
Spaces - a little like a very well done Science Show project, except that
We can afford to use thin, painted plywood instead of cardboard, or
Purchase any other supplies needed. If it is a distance to travel for the
person involved, we can pay cost of travel. I will help design the display
If desired and will provide a nice photo of Arizona Meteor Crater, some
WI photos, etc.
        Anyone on the list willing to take part in taking on (at least
coordinate with me on) such a project should contact me off list.

PS: In addition, to people who donated money, I will provide a detailed
listing of all $ in, how much was spent on what and ask if people want to
use possible remaining $ for an additional school or if they prefer a
proportional refund. In either event, a full accounting will be provided to
all donors.
        I will also want a good quality photo of the display so everyone can
See just what we accomplished together.
