Eric, List,

I wondered too.

My GoogleStorm fails to show any resolution
to the Lorton custody battle nor any mention
of the dispute that actually originates later than
the Feb. 4, 2010 statement by the Smithsonian
that it "holds" the stone and will not comment
whilst the matter is in dispute (the stone fell
on Jan. 22).

Presumably, the Smithsonian continues to
"have custody." I confidently predict that the
Smithsonian will still hold the stone a year
from now, ten years from now, 100 years
from now...
