[meteorite-list] real jobs

Seems very interesting so many in this small meteorite world have had
experiences with them. Road trap. Don't bother shopping there unless you
know what you're doing and can wheel and deal. Even then I'd warn
against it. A note on the Stewart's "iron" meteorites. So far I've heard
people on list mention them being Campos, Canyons and Nantans. When I
stopped by there some 3 years ago they were NWA irons according to Mrs.
Stewart. I would say the only way to really tell for sure is to buy
them, get a receipt from the Stewart's saying what they are, then get
the meteorites analyzed. If they're Campos or Canyons it seems rather
obvious they're pulling one over on people. They could always claim
ignorance though.

I've seen and photographed the irons there, knowing what I know about
meteorites now, I would say they aren't Canyons due to their rounder
blob like shape, not sharp edged like the CD irons. Perhaps they are
Campos, but even that is hard to believe, since Campos that size are
usually more regmaglypted. I've seen larger Nantans as well, and the
irons at the Stewart's tourist shop, look like Nantan irons. I think I
was also told they were purchased at the Denver show...? Could be wrong
on that point though.

Regards,
Eric
