Hi List,

I heard about a fall that took place on Jul 17, 2005 near Montney
Canada and supposedly it struck something. This fall is not
officially recognized in the Met Bulletin and it was the only fall in
2005, which statistically is not consistent with average fall rates.
Does anyone know when/if this meteorite will become official?

On average, for the last ten years, we get about 5 meteorite falls
that are recovered and approved by NonCom. Montney was the only fall
in an otherwise quiet year.

Best regards,

MikeG
