All:
I would like to congratulate Robert Ward for his (out of this world) find, and the best of luck to everyone else out in the field hunting.
Could this be part of the Comet Thatcher (C/1861 G1)? As this 'fall'?occurred?during the tail end of the Lyrid Meteor Shower. I have heard some of the most primitive C-Chondrites may have come from comets. ?Could this help?substantiate?this?
Is there any way the main body could be traced back to the comet's dust?
This discovery is amazing... just when you think the best has happened, something better?occurs.
That N. American Lunar is on it's way... I just know it.
All the best,
Greg S. ?
